Since 2013 teams of dentist have visited Pueblo Nuevo, Santa Barbara to provide free dental services to children and adults. The mission is to create sustainable oral health programs for underprivileged children in Petoa, Santa Barbara. For the last 9 years our team has provided numerous dental missions to reach out to the most needed communities with dental care. In 2017 in collaboration with the Municipality of Petoa, we were able to stablish the Project Smiles clinic. This programs has reaches thousands of children and adults through many communities by providing oral health education and dental supplies. Children are educated on oral health. Education includes the importance of dental health, diet and proper home care techniques. Educational models, visuals and activities are used to keep children engaged in learning. Dental supplies such as toothbrushes, toothpaste and floss are provided for children to stay compliant with oral health. Children also receive professional fluoride treatments.
